Mr Jagan had applied for the relevant licence a month ago. He wants develop it into a professional channel on the lines of NDTV and CNN-IBN. Keeping this in mind, However, he had second thoughts after his advisors told him that a Telugu news channel was not a profitable proposition. At present, there are three major news-based channels in Telugu — Teja News, ETV-2 and TV-9.The rating points for Telugu news channels have been ranging from 1.5 to 2. Even their advertisement revenue is meagre. Of late, many news channels have been forced to telecast film-based programmes to shore up their revenue. Mr Jagan is now toying with the idea of launching a full-fledged entertainment channel with news and news-based programmes at regular intervals. Journalists should follow code of etchics: Pakistan journalist
Tuesday, February 14, 2006 | Pavan

Pakistani journalist M. Ziauddin, resident editor of Dawn said that publication of cartoons caricaturing the Prophet Mohammed was a deliberate attempt by the editor of the Danish newspaper Jylands Posten and its cartoonist to hurt a group of people. He was speaking ina alecture at the University of Hyderabad.
In Western countries, there is a rule among the print media not to lampoon Jewish traditions. However there are double standards when it comes to other religions. The freedom of expression is very important but in this particular case the newspaper has stretched its freedom to ridiculous levels, he said.
Mr Ziauddin said journalists were taught the code of ethics in journalism schools and how important it is not to incite other people. "People like Salman Rushdie are private persons and can write whatever they want, but not newspapers. Millions of people wake up in the morning to a newspaper and it is everyone's responsibility not to insult or hurt anybody’s feelings," he said.

An early morning blaze completely gutted three floors of the landmark eight-storey Pushpanjali shopping complex at Koti. That the fire began at 7 am on Sunday accounted for the lack of casualties, Koti is otherwise one of the most crowded localities, and the commercial complex is itself packed with dozens of popular shops.
Later in the night, Hyderabad district collector, Arvind Kumar ordered shopkeepers to vacate the complex by 6 pm on Monday. He said that the MCH has declared the building unfit for public use. Mr Kumar added that the building will be demolished soon. The fire brigade used 100 tankful of water to douse the blaze using 16 fire engines, one of them summoned from Patancheru 35 km away. The building houses cloth showrooms, bookshoops, a chitfund company office, a blood bank, college, studio, marketing and telephone company showrooms. A fireman also sustained injuries during the four-hour operation to put out the blaze.
Deputy commissioner of police, east, K.V. Rajendranath Reddy said, "The cause of fire was sparks from gas cutters. Building owner Ajay Kumar had sold the escalator to a scrap dealer, Yousuf. He started work at 11.30 pm on Saturday along with eight workers. At 7.00 am on Sunday, sparks from the gas cutters ignited the nearby debris. They tried to control it but the fire spread to the garbage from a photography shop."

Madhumathi comes from a family where women are mostly stuck to kitchen. Madhumathi's father is a caste-fanatic. He feels that education is unnecessary for girls. Madhumathi tries to break that barrier. She aspires to be a Doctor. And she is also in 3rd of MBBS when Bunny enters her life. They hate each other and keep teasing each other all the time. A quick turn of events changes the life of Bunny and Madhumathi forever. They end up living together but still hating each other. When it comes to the education of Madhumathi, Bunny decides to correct all the things that went wrong. What were the mistakes? What did he do to correct them should be seen on screen. Overall, first half has good comedy and runs at a good pace with entertaining episodes. Story takes on the heavy side in the second half. However, any lag in the second half is totally covered by the climax. Climax is excellent. Last half an hour of the movie generates good emotions and is very touching.
