Admission time: Managements urges fee hike

PV: Managements of private professional colleges have approached the admission and fee regulatory committee urging it to increase the fee for various courses this year. The AFRC, which regulates fee structure for professional courses in the state, will meet in June to take a decision on the quantum of hike. Managements want to increase the fee for engineering courses from Rs 30,200 to Rs 40,000, B.Ed fee from Rs 14,000 to Rs 20,000, MBA/MCA fee from Rs 26,700 to Rs 30,000 and pharmacy fee from Rs 30,200 to Rs 44,000.
