Purandareshwari, Pallam Raju and Subbirami Reddy got berts in Union ministry

The induction on Sunday of Daggubati Purandareshwari, M.M. Pallam Raju, T. Subbirami Reddy and Jairam Ramesh (He is kannadiga, but member of rajyasabha from Andhra) into the Union ministry took the total number of ministers from Andhra Pradesh to 10. Congress president Sonia Gandhi explained soon after Sunday’s Cabinet expansion that AP had returned a large contingent of Congress MPs and "naturally they had to be given representation"”.

>D.Purandhareshwari
TD-founder N.T. Rama Rao’s daughter Daggubati Purandhareshwari. She got Human resources development portpolio. She is wife of Congress MLA and former state health minister D.Venkateshwar Rao. She is MP from Bapatla constituency.T he induction of Ms Purandhareshwari Devi from the influential Kamma caste, is being seen as a strategic move.
>T.Subbarami Reddy:
T.Subbarami Reddy is currently chairman of Tirupati Tirumala Devasthanams Trust Board and honorary president of AP Red Cross Society. He is minister of state (without portpolio) He has contributed to the development of every temple in the district and his Subbarami Kalapeetham is well known for supplying drinking water during summers. He celebrates Sivaratri every year on Ramakrishna Beach in Visakhapatnam distributing mangalsutras to unmarried women. Mr Reddy has produced several hit films in Telugu, his Bhagavadgita won the national award.
>M.M.Pallam Raju:
Second-time MP M.M. Pallam Raju of Kakinada, also inducted on Sunday, comes from vintage political stock. He is the minister of state for Defence. His grandfather Pallam Raju Senior was State minister in the sixties and his father Dr Mallipudi Srirama Sanjeeva Rao was Union minister for electronics and communications. A software expert, Mr Pallam Raju has worked with IT companies in the US and Norway. He is a former director of Air India and Indian and chairman of the parliamentary committee on information technology.
